Anthropic Signs $45B Compute Deal With British Infrastructure Firm Nscale
Matched: AI, OpenAI
Anthropic has signed a $45 billion, six-year compute deal with British AI infrastructure firm Nscale, which will supply capacity built on Nvidia's Vera Rubin chips from a West Virginia data center, with services expected to begin in late 2027. The agreement is part of Anthropic's aggressive recent expansion, which has also included deals with Volta, AMD, SpaceX, Amazon, Google, and Broadcom over the past eight months.
Top U.S. States for AI Data Centers And Infrastructure Growth
Matched: AI, Artificial Intelligence
A TRG Datacenters study ranks Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas as the top five U.S. states for AI data center growth, weighing capacity, electricity use, and environmental pressures. Virginia topped the index despite lacking the most facilities, while Texas ranked fifth despite leading in large sites, partly because nearly 59% of its facilities sit in high water-stress areas. Ohio led in total power capacity at 1,410 megawatts. The findings highlight that resource availability increasingly determines where AI infrastructure can sustainably expand.
