Amazon’s Prime Air autonomous drones to reach 500 US cities

Amazon plans to expand its Prime Air drone delivery service to nearly 500 US cities by end of 2026, up from roughly 80 locations today. The autonomous drones operate under FAA Part 135 certification, carry items under five pounds, and can deliver in as fast as 30 minutes. Drone delivery is free for Prime members on orders over $50. Amazon also recently launched its first international Prime Air site in Darlington, UK.
